I have been living here for 21 years and have no plans to ever leave this beautiful country. I am a long-term member of the Rotary Club of San Ignacio, Chairman of the Twin-Towns Crime Committee and a former director of the local Adventist Hospital. Greetings, from a truly Tropical Paradise!
My name is Gary Budaker and I am a Canadian that has made the move to work with RE/MAX Property Center in Belize. I am 48 years old and reside on the southern coast of the Caribbean Sea on the peninsula in Placencia Village.
My real estate career began in Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, where I practiced Residential & Commercial Real Estate for 12 years as a member of the Ontario Real Estate Association & Canadian Real Estate Association. Also carry an (MRA) as a Professional Market Researcher and am a current member of the Market Research Association in Canada and United States. Having researched this beautiful country, my conclusion being “Belize has everything to offer and more, discover for yourself.” My son Ryan Budaker, who has since joined as marketing technician and is the third generation member focusing in the real estate industry.

Our Lives as Expats
Selling real estate has been a wonderful and successful 20 year, (& counting), career for my wife Betsy and myself, especially since we had had the opportunity to work in some beautiful and exotic locations.
After working at RE/MAX in Oakville Ontario Canada for 10 years, we knew that we wanted to live a different lifestyle than Canada had to offer. Some where warm and on the ocean of course, where life moves just a little slower and you can get a chance to know your neighbours.
Back in the late 90's we spent five wonderful years, as a family, in the Turks and Caicos Islands before needing to bring our girls back to Canada for high school.
Kelowna, British Columbia is a beautiful city but with our girls now off to university, we once again began a search for paradise. Our search had us traveling several times to Mexico and the Dominican Republic, but each time it just didn't feel like home; until we visited Ambergris Caye.
After just four days of our first visit, we both fell in love with Ambergris Caye and we decided to make the move a permanent one. Most mornings, we like to get up early and take a quiet walk on the beach, finishing up with a quick swim. Work is just few minutes drive by golf cart, as cars aren't allowed on the island, except for a few taxis.
It seems that with the Belizean culture, the slower travel via bikes, golf carts and just plain old walking, Ambergris Caye has developed into a very friendly community, and meeting someone knew happens everyday. No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem is a common local saying here in Belize. This is the lifestyle that we wanted to enjoy: one with a lot less stress and a lot more fun, combined with the opportunity to help someone else with their dreams of living on a tropical island.

Warm greetings from the lovely isle of Ambergris Caye…
Hello, I am Lori Purdy and have been living in this unique country for nine years now, all of those enjoying life on the most beautiful part of Belize, Ambergris Caye. I had previously been living in Central Asia and took a much needed holiday here in 1995. The moment I arrived; I knew I was at home.
One of the many great things about Belize is the fantastic opportunities that exist here. I have a background in Business, Finance/Accounting and Computing, and during the first couple of years, I did all three! The community was warm and welcoming and I mended right into the local Belizean culture. The island is similar to a family unit and there are events happening each and every day; local birthdays, First Communions, baptisms, and many, many fundraising activities for all those in the community.
After two years on the island, a very close friend of mine invited me to work together in marketing real estate here on Ambergris Caye. I did and have truly enjoyed my new found profession. For the past seven years I have been able to share my adopted home to those seeking a unique life and culture in another country.
This could be your life also. Soft white sandy beaches, a barrier reef outside your front door, an inviting and friendly culture, enviable weather, reasonably priced real estate, and a vacation smile always on your face.

My name is Ollie Natividad and I specialize and reside in the Hopkins/Sittee Point area of the Stann Creek District. I have been coming and going to Belize for the past 17 years, so I know the area very well. I have sold many of the properties here at Sittee Point, Sittee River, and Hopkins Village. This area of Belize has the best of both-worlds, the pristine barrier reef and the mountains and jungle both within 30 minutes of here.
Local knowledge is very important; we like to concentrate our efforts to this general area. I own and develop my own properties here as Belize is our home. I am relatively new to the REMAX culture, but very excited and motivated to succeed.
